History of the link between Ballyclare High School and Lycée Camille Sée

In 1994 a new link was established with the Lycée Camille Sée in Colmar in the Alsace region of France.

Groups of French pupils have visited Ballyclare and the Headmasters of the two schools have hosted their counterparts.

French pupils have participated actively in classes and have been involved jointly with BHS pupils in educational fieldwork in geography and history.

Pupils and staff from Ballyclare visited Alsace in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 & 2007.
Visits to Strasbourg and other local towns and villages were enjoyed by all and pupils availed themselves of the opportunity of improving their spoken French while staying with the families there

Happy students on one of our visits to Colmar
Good to get out and about in Colmar
It is hoped that the link between Ballyclare High School and Lycée Camille Sée will continue to develop. There are plans that the two schools will add new dimensions to their co-operation by exploring aspects of learning and teaching between and within the two schools. Watch this space.
