against Belfast High School (away) Ballyclare faced a tough test away to Belfast High on Saturday following a convincing win away to Friends. Ballyclare started brightly and within the first few minutes Hackney powered over turning pressure into points for the first try of the game. The conversion was missed. Belfast High immediately responded with the majority of possession for the remainder of the first half. They kicked a penalty from inside the opposition 22 leaving Ballyclare 5-3 up at halftime. The second half saw a major turn around seeing Ballyclare run in 4 tries and concede no points. Paul Rea powered his way over from the back of a scrum which was converted by Jackson. The Ballyclare pack dominated the second half with Logan driving over from the back of a maul. The conversion was missed. The score stood 17-3. It was then that the Clare side really turned it on with the pack driving close to the High School line where the ball was then immediately spun wide to Paul Robinson who walked in for the fourth try of the game. Paul Rea then sealed the victory with a solo try. Jackson converted to leave the final score 31-3 and an impressive win. William Goulden and Robert McConnell also impressed.
